In today’s video, we’re going to talk about a quick way to find any tool inside of Fusion 360!

Sometimes it can get a bit tricky to find different tools inside of Fusion 360. This can be especially true if any changes are made to the user interface, or if you just can’t quite remember where something is located. However, there’s actually a great little feature contained inside of Fusion 360 that allows you to search for any tool in the program.

You can access it by tapping the “S” key, then typing in the name of the tool that you’d like to search for. This allows you to find any tool without having to be in the proper menu, etc.

For example, let’s say I wanted to add a circle and some recesses to the bottom of this object. I could type the “S” key, then the word “circle.” This would do a search inside the entire library of tools contained inside of Fusion 360 and show the ones with the word “circle” inside of them.

You can also save tools to a quick shortcut by clicking the little arrow to the right hand side of the tool name. This will pin the tool to your search bar so that it shows up whenever you do a search!
